Whilst all of us work hard to make Bristol work, Bristol doesn’t always work the same way for all of us. Sometimes we feel connected to our neighbourhood, our friends and families, our city, and we have the time and money to do the things we want to do. Other times things get in the way of that, making it harder to feel those connections and do the things we want to do. Covid-19 and the lockdown have created new challenges, but also some opportunities.
Please help us understand how Bristol works for you by completing this short questionnaire. It should take you about 15 minutes. We are offering all participants a chance to win one of FIVE £100 or TEN £50 shopping vouchers on completing the survey.
To complete the survey you must live in Bristol or the areas around it and be at least 18 years old. You can only complete the questionnaire once. We must receive your questionnaire by October 4th, 2020.
The survey contains two parts. The first part contains a series of questions that you can answer by ticking the box or filling in the blank. The second part will take you to a mapping web page where you show us how you’ve been moving about Bristol. No special knowledge or skill is needed: all the answers you give should only be about you and your circumstances.
This questionnaire is being done by a research team at the University of Bristol. It is part of a project funded by the Economic and Social Research Council called ‘Everyday Integration: The local contexts, practices, and mobilities of integration’ (grant number R100866-101) with contributions from Community Partners across the city and Bristol City Council. For more about the project and a list of partners, please see https://everydayintegration.org.uk/.)
All your answers will be treated confidentially and all results will be anonymised. Your answers will be collected on Online Surveys, whose services are certified to a high standard of information security management. All data collected via Online Surveys will be transferred to the University of Bristol’s Research Data Storage Facility where it will be stored in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulations Act 2018. Only anonymised data will be shared with Project Partners.
I understand that:
- My participation is voluntary.
- The data gathered in this study will be stored securely. All information I provide will be anonymised, which means it will be used and stored so that no-one will be able to find out who gave which answers.
- I will be allocated a receipt number upon my successful completion of the survey. This number will not contain any identifying information about me. I can quote this number to the research team if I have any queries about my response or if I wish to withdraw my response from the survey.
By ticking the box below, you are agreeing that you are at least 18 years old and live in Bristol or the areas around it, that you have read the information about the survey, that you haven’t previously completed the questionnaire, and that you voluntarily agree to take part in this study.
